Content Policy

Standards for reviews, photos, and all user-generated content on OrdNow.

1. Overview

OrdNow allows users to submit reviews, ratings, photos, and comments about restaurants and food items. This Content Policy governs what content is and is not permitted on our platform.

We want our platform to be a helpful, honest, and respectful space for all users. All content must comply with applicable Indian law, including the IT Act 2000 and IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules 2021.

2. Permitted Content

Honest reviews based on your genuine experience with the restaurant or food.

Photographs of food you ordered — both positive and negative (e.g., showing quality issues).

Constructive feedback that helps restaurants improve and helps other customers make informed decisions.

3. Prohibited Content

False or misleading information, including fake reviews or fabricated complaints.

Hate speech, discrimination, or content targeting individuals based on religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.

Sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic content.

Personal attacks on restaurant staff, delivery partners, or other users.

Content that infringes copyright or trademarks of third parties.

Spam, commercial promotions, or affiliate links.

Content that threatens, harasses, or intimidates any individual.

Content that violates the privacy of any person, including unauthorised photographs of individuals.

4. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews must be based on a genuine order placed through OrdNow. We verify that reviewers have ordered from the restaurant they are reviewing.

Restaurant owners may respond publicly to reviews. Responses must also comply with this Content Policy.

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate this policy or that appear to be coordinated or incentivised.

5. Reporting Violations

To report content that violates this policy, use the 'Report' button on any review, photo, or comment. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours.

6. Consequences of Violation

Violating content will be removed. Repeated or severe violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban from the platform.

For content that violates Indian law, we may share information with law enforcement as required.

7. Restaurant Partner Content

Restaurant partners are responsible for the accuracy of their menu, prices, photos, and descriptions. Misleading information about ingredients (especially allergens and Jain/vegan status) is strictly prohibited and may result in partner removal.
